Fire sunset, August 22.

I took a little break from my photo walks and from making new images, because we urgently needed to prepare to leave, with the massive Walbridge fire not far away. Over the last 24 hours there have been signs of progress and the worst of the danger passing. We anxiously watched for another set of thunderstorms and dry lightning predicted last night and today, but they dissipated before reaching us, hooray! When the red flag warning was canceled this afternoon, I breathed a deep sigh of relief.
