Small blessings.

Despite the terrible air and zero containment on the Walbridge fire, we got some good news today. CalFire downgraded several areas near us from mandatory evacuation to readiness warnings—including the area of this lake. We are ready to jump if needed, but it’s a nice momentary relief to know that mandatory evacuation is a little farther away. 

The next wild card is a second series of lightning storms predicted to come through the greater Bay Area in the next 24 hours… But because we’re prepared now, I relaxed a bit more today.
