Happy Mother’s Day, all. It’s been a tough day for me since losing Dave, but there are signs it will be easier this year. (My daughter made me dinner in advance!) This happy accident came out of experiments to break the picture plane. I’d created a white border for the image to overflow onto, then oops! applied texture to the entire thing. Even if it doesn’t do what I’d planned, I actually like this better than the rest of the experiments. It’s got all kinds of secret layers, and I’m sure speaks on some level of my psyche, flowing into a larger space.
