Smoke over the Laguna.

IMG_3138.JPG

There are now more than 350 fires throughout California that were ignited by the big lightning storm over the weekend. Watching the lightning storm we were awed, but scared too. We know how dry it’s been. And here in Sonoma County, each new fire triggers the trauma of the last several years. We’re on tenterhooks, watching ash rain from the sky as the evacuation zones creep closer to our home. Of my two shots here, one looks north towards the source of the Walbridge Fire west of Healdsburg, CA; the other looks south to where the smoke is blowing, across the southern part of the Laguna de Santa Rosa.
