Sonoma County Moving Landscapes

I immigrated to California because I’d fallen in love with its coast live oaks and dramatic skies: now I’ve been living in Sonoma County for 20 years. One of the most renowned landscapes in the world, there is beauty everywhere you look, and all the great shots have long since been taken. But I wanted to record how it feels to live in this rural area, to be gobsmacked by the sudden views that take one’s breath away while driving into town for groceries. Captured from a car in motion, as seen daily by residents, Sonoma County Moving Landscapes is a love letter to my home community, expressing the passion for this landscape that keeps people here year after year, despite fire and flood.
